Easter Bunny Baseball!! What a great idea! This very cute vintage postcard has our bunny batter up to bat in a red, white, and blue All-American baseball uniform. Another bunny is the catcher and a feisty Rooster, the pitcher.
The stands are full of baby Easter chicks and lounging bunnies with some ducks and birds in the grass to watch the game.
It’s the bottom of the ninth, with two out and one to go, the pressure is on – the score is tied. The pitcher, Rooster, surveys the bases and throws the pitch. It’s a bit inside, but bunny batter takes the swing and the game is on.
Do you think the beginnings of Spring and the onset of Easter, just brought baseball to everyone’s mind in 1900?
