The Old Faithful Inn, in Upper Geyser Basin, was so named because of its proximity to Old Faithful Geyser. From the veranda of this huge log structure there may be seen at close range the hourly eruptions of Old Faithful Geyser, as well as displays of many other nearby geysers.
Old Faithful Inn and geyser are part of Yellowstone National Park located in Wyoming. Yellowstone was the first National Park dedicated in the 1800’s to preserve the land for the people for all time. It is a wilderness area full of geysers and hot springs along with the bountiful wildlife including trees, flowers, animals, and waterfalls.
The Old Faithful Inn is also famous for the beautiful carved wood throughout. Both the inn and park are worth a trip to see the spectacular natural phenomena of the geysers and hot springs.
