This vintage postcard picture was taken in 1911 of the Edgeworth Club in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. There were three sites for The Edgeworth Club in Sewickley. This old postcard shows the second location, used for several years after the first site burned down.
The Historical Society in Sewickley has created this great book: Sewickley Postcard History showing the history of the town of Sewickley through vintage postcards. The town of Sewickley is known for its beautiful Victorian homes and for Sewickley Heights where the Pittsburgh steel tycoons from the Industrial Revolution era built their mansions.
The vintage postcard shown here has captured a part of Sewickley history, as this site for the Edgeworth Club is not well known. Today, The Edgeworth Club is situated at 511 East Drive in Sewickley providing tennis, swimming, and beautiful banquet and dining rooms for the neighboring community.
